Justin Alger

Justin is the Acting Academic Director of The Phil Lind Initiative at the School of Public Policy and Global Affairs, University of British Columbia. He is a political economist, and his work examines the power and influence of corporations in global environmental politics. His current project focuses on how mining companies have shaped the emerging governance regime for deep-sea mining, and whether that regime will be able to effectively limit ecological and social harm.
